Suzanne Brunelle

Serves as Senator and Knowledge Seeker on the Toronto and York Region Métis Council. Raised on the land near the Georgian Bay waters, Suzanne traces her Métis roots to Red River Valley. She retired from her Federal public service career in 2009. Her path led her to a coordinator role with the Community Ethics Network and greater engagement with the Urban Indigenous community. The TYRMC is the local government that represents the interests of the Toronto and York Region Metis people and is a chartered community council of the Metis Nation of Ontario.
